A world ruled by monarchy and divided by conflict. The exact start of the conflict has been lost to the ages, though the general consensus is that both sides are vying for control of the world's natural resources. Unfortunately, this unending war has left a significant portion of the world tainted by volatile magic that has caused nights to be unnaturally lengthened and have a similarly dangerous effect on the local fauna.
