Kyle's RE Makeover Test

So, with the requests for "harder" REs from a certain member of the site generating a retardedly OP system..

I was thinking maybe there was an easier way to make things harder, but not too hard.
So the system will work like this, if members like it, and if it works out well:
Party Size + Encounter Size Dice = TRUE Encounter Size.
Enemy Level cannot exceed more than 5 above the weakest party member. If the level dice rolls a higher number, the number is reduced. HOWEVER, if the weakest party member levels up between waves, the enemies can get stronger on the next wave until they hit the original rolled level.
(You have a party of a level 2, level 3 and level 1. You roll level 9. This is reduced to 6. You have 3 waves. After wave one, the level 1 hits level 2. The next wave will have level 7 enemies, because they're still reduced from level 9, but the weakest party member got stronger.)

Rollers can also decide on a per member cap for the RE. So if they want a smaller RE, they can cap the encounter size at 2/party member. But if they're looking for a challenge, they could choose to roll more encounter size die, and cap the encounter size as high as 10/party member.

Anyways, whoever has posted in this topic by 1pm PST tomorrow will get to test this system.


NOTE: Exp will not be earned from this, since it is on the overworld to allow everyone to participate. However, I will award prizes to the participants.

NOTE 2: If this works out and I get permission to completely implement it, I'll also remove bosses from the main die and require a "boss die" roll that will add a boss to your last wave.

(And if I could make a suggestion, maybe only have certain enemies show up in certain worlds? The chance of you finding the most common Heartless of them all, the Shadow, is about as likely to be found in Destiny Islands as Kurt Zisa.

That just ain't right...)

Party Size: 4 Rolling dice now. Using a group frequency of 2, since this is a test and I don't want it to take too long. Maximum Enemies/Member set to 3.

Wha... where was he, now? Had something else swept him away and tossed him another land in his own dreams? Obsidian looked down at himself and smiled a little: at least he looked better than he did the first time he'd arrived in some brand new world. In fact, he looked perfect! Everything, from his suit coat to his shoes were sparkling new.

Unfortunately, Obsidian's glee at his appearances being back up to par was wiped clean by noticing the small legion of Heartless. Bombs, knights and machines, oh my! It seemed he had no choice but to fight now, and he started to analyze the situation. Flying creatures could easily provide more support than any of the others, so he picked the bat, and what looked like a bomb, because Obsidian did not want that thing anywhere near him anytime soon.

Simon strode into the Chat Room, sighing heavily at the sight of the amplified Heartless.

Honestly, he didn't see there being much of a point to this. The system, in his mind, wouldn't stick; it had, literally, no chance. But, the Operator said he'd help. And, damned if the Operator didn't keep his word.

Wordlessly, Simon summoned Ancient of Ages to his hand, before lurching, using his left heel as a pivot point. Spinning 360, he slung the Keyblade as hard as his body would allow, aiming for the Surveilance Robot. To be certain, its long-range energy attacks would not be good to deal with. Best to eliminate it early on. If it connected, he'd make short work of it, leaving only the Shaman for ranged attack.

"Deal with the Shaman next." he said, curtly, to the gunner.
